RAINS have already met four times in the nine participating countries of the project, and has started to develop innovations from the requested challenges all over Europe.
Some of the AFINET innovation factsheets aim to tackle the knowledge gaps identified by agroforestry stakeholders over the RAIN meetings across Europe.
These factsheets include information regarding the design of agroforestry systems or good management practices. They cover topics as implementing different tree species, such as walnut trees or sweet chestnut trees in silvoarable or silvopastoral systems, or the benefits of silvopasture for domestic animals in terms of diet, shade, shelter or body maintenance.
Enjoy and get inspired!
