{"id":679,"date":"2019-03-03T12:34:14","date_gmt":"2019-03-03T12:34:14","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/agroforestrynet.eu\/afinet\/?p=679"},"modified":"2020-01-24T12:36:41","modified_gmt":"2020-01-24T12:36:41","slug":"fourth-portuguese-rain-meeting-of-the-afinet-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agroforestrynet.eu\/afinet\/archivos\/679","title":{"rendered":"Fourth Portuguese RAIN meeting of the AFINET project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">The fourth portuguese Regional Agroforestry Innovation Network meeting took place on the 27<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0of February 2019 at Instituto Superior de Agronomia (ISA) in Lisbon.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">35 RAIN members attended the meeting, which started with a brief summary of the project\u2019s activities on the last six months, and a presentation of the first dissemination materials by Joana Amaral Paulo\u00a0(CEF\/ISA).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Maria Cust\u00f3dia Correia (Rede Rural Nacional)\u00a0presented the concept, goals, current numbers and perspectives of the operational groups. Alfredo Sendim (Soc.\u00a0Ag. Freixo do Meio) presented the operational group \u201c<a href=\"https:\/\/inovacao.rederural.gov.pt\/2\/227-ecomontado-xxi-a-agroecologia-aplicada-ao-design-do-montado-novo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ECOMONTADO XXI &#8211; Agroecology applied to the design of new Montados<\/a>\u201c, speaking on the importance of agroecology nowadays and how his farm is applying its concepts. Isabel Pinto\u00a0(ACHAR)\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/inovacao.rederural.gov.pt\/grupos-operacionais\/13-projectos-groupos-operacionais\/72-oak-egeneration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">presented Oak\u00aeeGeneration\u00a0&#8211; Strategies and models of forest management for the creation of natural regeneration areas of cork and olm oak on national oak stands\u201d<\/a>\u00a0operational group, showing some already available numbers. Concei\u00e7\u00e3o Santos Silva (UNAC) presented \u201c<a href=\"http:\/\/www.unac.pt\/index.php\/id-i\/grupos-operacionais-accao-1-1-pdr2020\/undercork\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">UNDERCORK \u2013 Integrated management of Coroebus undatus\u201d\u00a0<\/a>operational group, pointing out the work done so far and some solid answers about the forest plague and relevant to forest management they are aiming for.
