Over those four days, AFINET partners had the opportunity to discuss how to broaden the impact of AFINET, involve the stakeholders and enhance agroforestry innovations in Europe\u00a0and how to link Operational Groups to the AFINET thematic network. On the 28th and 29th of November it was time for hard work. Each Work Package leader made an update about milestones achieved and the ones about to come.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph SCXW84154443\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The meeting was also a great occasion to meet several French farmers aimed towards a sustainable agriculture. On the first day, participants had the chance to visit\u00a0a free-range pig holding in\u00a0Tillac, a farm integrating alley cropping systems\u00a0transitioning towards\u00a0an organic production and the agroforestry duck farm\u00a0<a class=\"Hyperlink SCXW84154443\" href=\"https:\/\/www.fermedelapattedoie.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Famille\u00a0P\u00e9r\u00e8s<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph SCXW84154443\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The last day was again time to visit farms in\u00a0Auch\u00a0surroundings, one of them engaged in the sustainable production of bread, and an organic farm with chicken, pigs and sheep with planted trees for shadow and protection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"Paragraph SCXW84154443\" style=\"text-align: justify;\">The next AFINET consortium meeting will take place in Hungary, in May 2019.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"themeblvd-video-wrapper\">\n<div class=\"video-inner\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"940\" height=\"529\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nvjKslANnxM?feature=oembed&#038;wmode=transparent\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The 5th AFINET consortium meeting\u00a0was hosted by the\u00a0French Agroforestry Association\u00a0and\u00a0took place in\u00a0Auch\u00a0(France), from 27th to 30th November.
